Easy, Vegan Golden Milk
If you haven’t heard of golden milk, I highly suggest looking into it. I recently discovered golden milk when looking for an organic alternative to helping with inflammation and chronic bladder pain. This dairy-free and vegan friendly drink is essentially a mixture of ingredients that are high in nutrient value. Mixed together to make a nice warm drink to enjoy during our California winters or whenever your body could use a pick me up. This drink has been truly life-changing for me and I drink it almost every day. There are many ways to make golden milk, but I wanted to share my favorite recipe with you so you can give it a try!
Golden milk gets its golden color from a mixture of turmeric and coconut milk. Turmeric is the golden yellow spice used in Asian curries. The benefits of turmeric aren’t just a hippie folktale, but have been well-researched for providing amazing health benefits. Some of the benefits include anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer properties.
Turmeric has also been found to help strengthen the immune system, aid in digestion, regulate hormones and ease PMS symptoms. As a holistic wellness trainer and nutritionist, I’ve also recommended turmeric supplements to clients to decrease inflammation and provide relief from joint pain with amazing results! The benefits are truly endless.
